Market Harborough Historical Society Event
At an invitation-only reception, held on the evening of Wednesday 15 May in Market Harborough Theatre, Kibworth resident David Holmes presented a short talk about the latest Market Harborough History Society publication, which he has recently edited.
The book entitled A History of Market Harborough. Volume 2: From 1800 to the Present Day carries on where volume 1 finished and brings the reader right up to date.
Topics such as the early origins of the NHS, how the District Council came about, canals, railways and motor transport and the rise and fall of Market Harborough industry are amongst other subject covered.
