Illston On The Hill WI – June 2024

In community life few events hold as much significance as the Women’s Institute meetings. Not just a forum for business discussions, these gatherings are a celebration of camaraderie, shared passions and of course a dash of fun.
In our rendezvous, we commenced with a focused agenda, addressing pertinent issues. However, as the saying goes ‘all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’. Hence after the serious deliberations concluded, it was time to inject some levity into proceedings with a friendly quiz – with questions spanning a myriad of topics. Laughter and friendly banter filled the room as we put our knowledge to the test.
Following the quiz came the much-anticipated ‘taste and try’ segment – a delightful indulgence for the senses. Each member had lovingly prepared a sweet or savoury treat to share with the group. The table was adorned with an array of culinary delights, each creation being eagerly sampled.
The evening was a celebration of friendship, unity and the simple joys of life.
