CraftyStitchers Leicestershire
We are a long established group who share an interest in embroidery and textiles. Although we are affiliated to Embroiderers’ Guild we are an Independent group and currently have a membership of 36.
We meet monthly at Braunstone West Social Centre, off Braunstone Lane, Leicester LE3 3FT from 2 – 4pm on the second Saturday of the month.
Our meetings are planned for the year. They are a mixture of practical sewing or textile techniques and outside speakers and some workshops. We are a friendly and sociable group and welcome visitors and new members. We also have a sales table and provide tea and coffee.
Our meeting in September, Lorraine Ellison, a member of Wymeswold Textile Group, will be telling us about her time spent in Peru and showing us her collection of textiles from the area.
Our subscription is £40 per year from 1st September, visitors £5 a meeting.
Anyone is welcome to join us, whether you are a novice or more experienced. Our aims are to encourage members to enjoy textiles in all forms and to learn new skills.
