Harvest Weekend and St Wilfrid’s Church
‘Come Together’ in Kibworth
We are holding our second ‘Come Together’ Harvest Service on Sunday 6 October at 10.30am. If you were able to join us last year, you will remember that it was a wonderful, fun-filled, and packed, service! This year, we have the pleasure of welcoming Bishop Martyn, the Bishop of Leicester, to the service!
Once again, this will be a service with something to suit everyone: songs for all ages, traditional harvest hymns, puppets, contributions from the community and harvest displays. Join us for breakfast in the hall at 9.30am, with the service beginning at 10.30am.
The church will be open on Saturday 5 October between 1pm and 4pm for tea, coffee and homemade cakes, and an opportunity to see the harvest displays provided by many local groups and shops.
Your donations of the following items would be greatly appreciated: pot plants to distribute to those in our community who are recently bereaved or unwell; dried, tinned and packet foods that we will deliver to the Foodbank at The Well. Please bring your donations to the service with you and thank you for supporting our local community.
Please note that there will be no other services in the Benefice that day; we hope that you will come and join in the fun at St Wilfrid’s!
