Kibworth Band – September 2024
Well September has come and we will soon be off to Cheltenham for the National 1st Section Finals. Over the last few weeks we have been working hard in both sectional and full band rehearsals – once again apologies to the residents of Halford Road for the increased traffic – and hope to come away, if not with a prize, then a pride in our performance and representation of the Midlands Area.
We had some respite from the test piece as we rehearsed for our concert in Abington Park Northampton, last Sunday 1 September where we were fortunate to have lovely sunny weather and a large and appreciative audience.
Thanks to the success of our youth bands, we have significantly reduced the average age of the band such that we have 5 people under 21 year olds regularly playing with the band and at the finals.
