The 2024 summer outdoor bowling season has absolutely flown by!
At our President’s Day in August, we took part in a fun ‘Target bowls’ competition. The trophy was won by Chris Arrowsmith, Ian Davies and Zoe Newcombe. This event enabled President Jill Davies to raise a significant sum for her chosen charity :The MS Society, Leicestershire.
Congratulatons are extended to all our members who took part in our Finals Weekend in early September. Spectators were treated to some fantastic bowling, despite the inclement weather. Ladies and Men’s champions were Jackie Arrowsmith and Malcolm Moss (pictured).
The outdoor bowling green will close on 6 October. Indoor (carpet bowls) will start on 7th October from 2-4pm (with light refreshments available) and 6-7.30 (with licensed bar). All equipment is provided, and new members are always welcome. Come and have a go!
