Kibworth Mead Academy – September 2024
The summer holiday has been busy at KMA! Thanks to a huge capital investment from The Mead Educational Trust, a massive amount of building work has been successfully completed over the summer. This has included the refurbishment of two state of the art science laboratories, our Year 7 refectory, and the main student entrance.
The highlight of the summer was GCSE results day, when we were extremely proud to see our students open their envelopes, with many smiles and delighted faces. There were so many success stories, including two students with 9 grade 9’s and 2 grade 8’s apiece, and two others with 8 grade 9’s and 2 grade 8’s.
Students have made a fantastic start back, and are meeting our high expectations, both academically and in terms of their conduct around school. In the first two days of term alone they collectively achieved over 4,000 rewards points for demonstrating our values of work hard, be kind, be proud, which bodes really well for the school year.
We are particularly proud of our new Year 7 students, who have settled into secondary school remarkably quickly, and have already impressed us with their work ethic and commitment to their learning.
We are hosting our Year 6 Open evening on Thursday 19 September from 5:30-7:30 and look forward to welcoming families in our wider community to visit and see what KMA has to offer.
