VASL Community Champions
Befriending Volunteers Needed!
VASL Community Champions is looking for volunteers in your area. Could you spare an hour per week to visit an older person in your community as a Volunteer Befriender?
Reducing loneliness and social isolation is our aim and we have clients in Kibworth and the local area that need someone to visit them at home for company and conversation. We particularly need people that are interested in football, vintage cars or have a friendly dog they could take on visits with them.
Training and support are given, and expenses can be claimed for. You will also join a thriving community of volunteers with regular socials, and opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge.
Volunteering is also proven to be beneficial, known to improve health and wellbeing, social connections and feelings of worth. For details of how to apply get in touch:
