Kibworth Bowling Club – October 2024
Our annual Greenkeepers Shield competition took place on 13 September. Robert Lodge, David Stevens and Dave Williams were this year’s winning team and are shown in the photo receiving their trophy from Richard Smith (our fantastic Greenkeeper). After 2½ hours of bowling we were all ready for the delicious fish and chip supper which followed the match.
The closing of our outdoor bowling green at the end of September, until next April, doesn’t see the end of bowling for our players as indoor carpet bowls starts in our clubhouse every Monday from 2-4pm and again from 6-7.30pm, starting on 7 October. If you wish to join our friendly club and enjoy carpet bowls and social activities, please contact Sharon Sanderson at sbsanderson@sky.com or just turn up.
Social membership is just £25, but you can try three times for free before you join! All equipment is provided. Just wear comfortable clothes and flat shoes/trainers.
