St Wilfrid’s Church Kibworth – Oct 2024

St Wilfrid's Church, Kibworth, Leicester

Two special services

All Souls Service: Saturday 2 November at 7.30pm

A special service to remember with sadness and thanksgiving our loved ones who have died. If you cannot attend but would like the name/names of your loved ones to be read out in the service please contact the Church office.

Remembrance Service: Sunday 10 November

This year’s service will once again combine both outdoor and indoor elements as follows:

The parade will arrive outside St Wilfrid’s Church at approximately 10:40am where wreaths will be laid on the war memorial and the names of the fallen will be read. A short service will then take place inside the church, beginning at approximately 10:50am.

Please be aware that there will be very limited seating in the church in order to maximise the standing room availability. Anyone requiring a seat is asked to go directly into the church before the start of the outdoor service. Collection boxes for the Royal British Legion will be available outside the church and at both entrances.

Finally, please ensure that the road outside of the church is left clear of cars. The road will be closed for the parade to take place safely. Thank you.

Please note this service will not be live-streamed.

Ride and Stride

As part of ‘Ride & Stride’ around Leicestershire on 14 September, Bishop Martyn Snow and his wife Lynn, visited Christ Church in Smeeton Westerby and then ‘strode’ to St Helen’s Church in Saddington for afternoon teas.
