Illston-On-The-Hill WI – November 2024
October meeting was a real treat with a visit from Jill and John Vickers from ‘Bridge 67’. Jill gave us a short history of how it all started during Covid. The shop opened in November 2020 and is a very popular venue in Kibworth.
Both Jill and John gave us a cooking demonstration making Sausage Pappardelle, using Andy’s gluten free sausages and Colin’s traditional sausages. This was delicious and enjoyed by us all. Following a slimming world meeting, Andy’s famous gooseberry sausages were deemed to contain “no sins” (containing nothing fattening).
Also for our delectation was a wonderful section of cheeses, what a treat this proved to be. A really enjoyable evening topped off by our tea ladies producing a splendid array of cakes. Certainly no supper was needed when we got home!
