What’s going on?

New sign over the door.

It has been noted that our excellent pharmacy had a new permanent sign installed on Monday 21 October. Romin and his wife Sahnieya Tayub have really turned around this business since they took over Lloyds Chemist. The car park spaces have also been clearly marked. Well done.

Post box Topper

Our picture shows Sharon, who lives in  Fleckney and who crochets post box toppers for a hobby. There isn’t an actual round shaped post box in Fleckney so Sharon, who visits Kibworth Beauchamp Post Office regularly, has hand made the topper seen above. It represents autumn. There should be another topper to commemorate Remembrance Day in place when this issue is published. The autumnal version will return afterwards. Also in the picture is the always smiling Mr B Singh who oversees Kibworth Beauchamp Post Office.

Parish Council App?

Walking in Great Glen and advertised on the centrally located Parish Council offices is a picture of a smart mobile phone displaying the Parish Council app. There are four areas which you click on which include; what’s on, Fault Report, Planning Applications and Council Minutes/Reports.

Food for thought KBPC and KHPC? This would circumnavigate some anonymous questions being asked via Facebook.

Modern Sculpture?

Are we a nation of incompetent drivers? It seems every traffic island between Oadby and Market Harborough now has a piece of modern sculpture in the form broken street furniture; with direction signs up-ended, lamp posts wrapped with yellow and black tape fresh green soil with furrows and a scattering of glass and plastic!
