Community Stand Together
Once again the people of Kibworth (and I am sure many of the villagers in the other places within our distribution area) came together on Sunday 10 November to remember the fallen, not only in the two world wars of the last century but in subsequent conflicts.
We Stood Together.
We remembered that our comfortable existence is not taken for granted.
We might not have much, however we do not live in the Middle East, Ukraine, Afganistan or such places around the World.
This poppy is one of Paul Cummins 888,246 poppies that adorned the gardens of the Tower of London for the installation called ‘Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red ‘in 2014 – ten years ago this month.
Have we learnt to stand together in peace? Sadly, not in the last ten years.
