Dear Editor
I just wanted to thank Steve Langan from the Old House for hosting the Kibworth Harcourt Conservation Society annual Christmas tree lighting in Main Street on Saturday 7 December.
Members of both the Kibworth Ladies Choir and Kibworth Band turned out despite the inclement weather and did not get blown away (Storm Darragh was in full force at the time)!
A stoic crowd enjoyed free mulled wine, mince pies and sausage rolls provided by Kibworth Harcourt Conservation Society. Thanks to all concerned and for the Kibworth Harcourt Parish Council for the tree.
It was a very festive start to Christmas.
