New Kibworth Bridge – Safety Hazard?

Dear Editor

I am writing regarding the new footbridge over the railway line in Kibworth that has been built at great expense to replace the authentic old bridge.

My concern is about the bridge looking like a road bridge and being wide enough for all vehicles but no signage at the entrance at the end of School Lane for safety purposes.

This may be a work in progress but I think that vehicles need a sign and priority is given to pedestrians!

I have used the bridge when a truck is also using it and they have slowed down but it doesn’t feel like a footbridge just an extension of the road.

We have been left with an ugly bridge and a safety hazard.
