Festival of Boats and Arts

Inland Waterways Association (IWA) Leicestershire Branch are planning to hold a Waterways Festival to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the first Festival of Boats and Arts, which was held at Market Harborough in 1950.
Unfortunately due to development and lack of space for the event, it will be held, this time, at Foxton Locks. However there still will be a cavalcade to the Market Harborough basin, in celebration.
The event will feature historic and private boats, floating traders, land-based stalls, food, ice cream, music and much more.
The event is planned to take place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 June 2025.
This years special event is being sponsored by IWA along with Harborough District Council, Canal and Rivers Trust, GL Events, Old Union Canal Society and Foxton Canal Museum.
