Kibworth Community Library – Mar ’25

“Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better.” – Sydney J. Harris, Journalist
Now that the new extension has been built at the new Community Hub, our thoughts are turning to when and how we will be moving there. There are several processes that have to be followed before we can, including giving 6 months’ notice to Leicestershire County Council and purchasing new furniture and equipment for the space.
We are very much looking forward to becoming a part of the Community Hub. Although we will be very sad to leave our lovely little library, we know that with the additional room we have in the new build, we will be able to stock more books and have a larger children’s area. Change can be hard but hopefully worth it in the end!
Upcoming Events
We’re delighted to say that one thing that hasn’t changed is our packed calendar of events!

- Adventures in the Wild 2 with John Beatty on Wednesday 2 April at 7pm at the Grammar School Hall.

Kibworth and the Black Death has sold out but we are planning a second date. We are also arranging for Susie Pasley-Tyler from Coton Manor to make a return visit in May.

April’s Book Sale will be on Saturday 12 April from 10am till 12pm. We’ve had so many donations of great quality books you’ll be spoilt for choice.
