Almost the last large plot of land within Kibworth village centre might become a building site after all.
The land situated at the end of St Wilfrids Close has been subject to several planning applications over the years however nothing has actually happened yet.
Recently however the land has been transfered to the new owner and been the subject of a supplemental deed dated 24 February 2025 between Broadmead Developments LLP (the new owner and development company), Harborough District Council and Leicestershire County Council whereby the land will be developed in line with the Manor Oak Homes Ltd application from a few years ago (see 23/00543/VAC).
That is for the building of 10 dwellings.
HDC’s decision was issued on 5 March 2025.
Another large scale development is taking place at Debdale Wharf Marina by the installation of hardstanding (retrospective application see 25/00090/FUL) for an additional berths for 60 narrow boats.
