I would like to put a thank you message out please.

Tools For Self Reliance ( tfsr ), is a UK registered International Development charity set up in 1980 to provide training and  practical help for trades people in parts of Africa, to learn and develop life skills.

As many of you will know, we operate a food bank to support local people that are experiencing food poverty. The demand has increased recently due to the cost-of-living crisis.

Our first meeting of the year was testing the ‘little grey cells’ of members of Illston on the Hill WI. We all enjoyed a quiz, some music, current affairs, musicals, sorting out first letters of villages, tv programmes, flowers and much more.

Our Warm Space, residency at Kibworth Grammar School Hall at 12noon - 2pm on Monday lunchtime is rapidly coming to an end. This will be the second of the eight-week events. The last date for the Welcome Kitchen will be Monday 27 February. Our friend, Karen Bevan from the Co-op, will be providing a Fair Trade chocolate tasting session, as it is ‘Fair Trade Fortnight’.

Our February meeting began with a service in Church followed by a get together in the Church Hall. The meeting was very well attended. After sharing news and notices members listened to a talk by Andy Wright, Operations Manager, The Well.

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital will be holding their monthly Coffee Morning and Table Top Sale in Kibworth Village Hall from 10am - 12.45pm. Dogs welcome.

We are so pleased with how our group continues to grow, and we think the members of the group are a fabulous bunch of people!

Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital are organising an Auction of Promises to take place in July. We are looking for lots from you lovely people to help us raise money to continue our valuable work. You can pledge something as simple as making a homemade cake, washing a car, cutting a lawn, painting a door, anything you feel you can offer. Leicestershire Wildlife Hospital will be holding an Indoor Car Boot Sale on Saturday 18 March in Kibworth Grammar School Hall, LE8 0EW from 10am-1pm.
