On Tuesday 26 March volunteers from  the Hallaton Fieldwork Group (it’s this group who previously discovered the Hallaton Hoard (which currently has pride of place in Harborough Museum) visited with their specialist equipment.

The job of the Police and Crime Commissioner is to ensure the policing needs of their communities are met as effectively as possible. Bringing communities closer to the police, building confidence in the system and restoring trust. Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) give the public a voice at the highest level and give the public the ability to ensure their police are accountable.

As a crew, we always do our best to keep the local community safe and to provide support and education. We deliver this in a variety of ways. Identifying local risks and performing site visits to help mitigate against these issues. Providing targeted training sessions and carrying out home safety checks. Organising community safety events such as the tyre health checks and road safety event we hosted in the Co-Op car park last month.
