A lively discussion about parking and congestion took place at the 25 January Parish Council meeting after a resident raised a number of issues.

Over 5,000 copies of the Chronicle are distributed entirely by volunteers. Sometimes people are unable to help - for example due to family emergencies or illness.

At the January Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council meeting there was a discussion about both parking issues and traffic congestion in the centre of the village that had been raised by a resident.

Children form Kibworth Primary School raised the alarm when they heard distressed sounds coming from the railway line near Warwick Road Park. On closer inspection they found a small deer trapped in the railway railings near the ‘tin bridge’. They alerted the fire brigade who with the help of the RSPCA managed to free the deer and take it away to be checked by their vets. The children (photographed) were calm in their approach and should be applauded for acting quickly to save this distressed animal.

Kibworth Hugs

The Railway Arms are arranging a three-day celebration that is being organised by Sam Shields, Jeff Pearce, and Derek Ward, with all proceeds going directly to GEMS Charity.
