I have in front of me two of my most treasured possessions, both books. One is the very first 'Doctor Who Annual (1965) and the other is a novel by the science fiction writer and visionary, Arthur C Clarke. The story is called ‘The City and the Stars’. I bought it in 1970 and still have that original copy.

Summer is almost here! With 2020 behind us, the prospect of holidays and even (fingers crossed) foreign travel to sunnier climes is a very real possibility. As of Saturday 10 April, SLMG will have completed over 10,000 COVID-19 vaccinations to our patient population. All COVID-19 vaccinations currently take place at Kibworth Medical Centre (KMC) on Smeeton Road. As per NHS England specifications, practices that belong to our Primary Care Network (PCN) also have to provide their Pfizer vaccinations from KMC. This is because the Pfizer vaccine cannot be moved from site-to-site. It is also because the vaccine needs to be utilised within four days from delivery. Therefore, Billesdon Surgery and The Croft Medical Centre in Oadby use KMC on a regular basis to vaccinate their patients.
