Born 21 October 1966 - went to sleep on the 13 January 2023.

Noeleen McCluskey thanks everyone for the many cards and messages of condolence and help received on the death of her beloved husband, Michael, on 2 December. Also for the attendance of so many at the funeral. He is very much missed.

Mike Ward was well-known to The Kibworth & District Chronicle team. He supplied us with news of Foxton via the Foxton Folio which he edited for twenty years. We send our condolences to his family along with these extracts from Mike’s funeral eulogy, a reminder of what a great character he was. RO.

My Grandma was a true Kibworthian, born in the flat above 40 Fleckney Road, a sweet shop at that time which belonged to her Aunty Sarah. She was christened Florence Joan but there were already three Florrie’s in the family. Great aunty, big aunty and little aunty. She became known as Joan, I suspect much to the relief of the other Florences!

A wander up, down or along New Road in Beauchamp, especially in the second half of an afternoon, will be less of an experience following the passing of a Beauchamp nonagenarian.

Doreen was Kibworth born and bred, she was the youngest of 6 children. She attended Church Langton School then working at Johnson & Barnes, then on to Gents, Kibworth and Leicester.
