Fleckney and Kibworth Running Club is offering a nine week ‘Couch to 5k’ course.

It’s been another fruitful month for the club with three new members joining us (thank you, Kibworth Chronicle.) Club members continue to enjoy the club nights as well as regular open sessions on Thursday mornings from 9.30-11am at Fleckney Sports Centre (18 years and over).

After the Autumn Marathon and Half Marathon season we’ve had a much quieter month for races and events. It’s now time for the mud lovers to get involved with the Derby Runner Cross Country League underway.

Adam Fowler and Lou Grimmett of Kibworth and Tur Langton have qualified for the functional fitness World Championships in Las Vegas next May.

It’s the end of the season for all concerned for Fleckney Village Cricket Club and this means two things – awards and AGMs.

Attention please!

It’s been another busy month for our club members. We have had a number of impressive performances over the Half and Full Marathon distance.

The Kibworth Coyotes helped light up the streets of Leicester by taking part in the Shine Night Walk in October to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. Passing all the local landmarks en route, the team-mates, who all play for the village rounders squad, collectively raised over £1,000 for this worthy cause.
