Summer News from Smeeton! With the Chronicle having a well deserved break for July and August, I must offer some dates for your diaries. As you may have realised, we here in Smeeton are always looking for events to bring our village together. We are also delighted to invite those of you from neighbouring villages too.

St Wilfrid's plan to resume services in church from Sunday 9 May. Services will start at 10.30am and numbers will be limited, to maintain social distancing. Your details will be taken for Track & Trace and Covid-safe measures
will be in place. We will, of course, be guided by any changes to government restrictions, so please check our website for updates: www.stwilfridskibworth.co.uk.
Now that the restrictions have started to ease, we are delighted to be able to open our village hall once again to the various classes that use our facilities. Over the past year, the hall has been fully decorated, both inside and out. It is now a bright, clean and attractive place for the classes to take place in.

In recognition of the death of the Duke of Edinburgh, the union flag was flown at half-mast at St Wilfrid's Church, Kibworth in accordance with guidelines from the Church of England.

Everyone at The Well is excited that the shop and café might be open again in April. The café will be open for take-aways, and customers will also be able to eat and drink in our beautiful garden.
