New roof for St Peter’s Church…

The roof of one of Leicestershire’s most iconic churches has now been replaced with stainless steel after callous thieves stripped the lead off it three times. The replacement is not worth as much to scrap metal thieves as lead thus detering further crime.

Gaulby Ringers raise funds for church project

A sponsored quarter peal rang out on 1st December at St Peter's, Gaulby. The team of local ringers raised over £750 to boost the funds of the Gaulby project. The project aims to provide an improved community space within the church as it is the only public building in the village.

The Bells of St Wilfrid's

The oldest bell in the tower of St Wilfrid’s has been ringing out across Kibworth for four hundred years. It was made in 1618 by George Oldfield, a famous bell-founder from Nottingham. Two of its companions are almost the same age, having been cast just three years later.

Kibworth Methodist Church Refurbishment

It’s been a busy summer down at the Kibworth Methodist Church. Our lovely old chapel was in need of some urgent improvements. Taking advantage of the pre-school holiday we have had underfloor heating fitted in the chapel and schoolroom as well as a new boiler and radiators elsewhere.
