Covid aware Christmas Day service

During the current National Lockdown situation, the churches of Kibworth, Saddington and Smeeton Westerby have regrettably closed for public worship. For the latest information, or if you require pastoral care, please visit our websites:

While The Well sadly is closed to visitors during lockdown, the Foodbank is continuing to support families in Kibworth and surrounding villages. we would like to use this column to sa a huge thank youth our wonderful local community for you generosity and ongoing support!

Usually at this time of year everyone is getting ready for Christmas celebrations. In Gumley that usually means a Nativity or Carol Service and a Christingle Service, in St Helen’s our beautiful church.

I note that local parents and parish councillors have been informed and consulted on a school’s governing body’s intention to work towards joining a multi-academy trust before the end of the current school year.

Holy Communion on the 4th Sunday of Advent - Sunday 20 December.

I write this to give overdue and public recognition to a member of Kibworth village, who has made a significant contribution to the well-being of our local community over many years, indeed decades!
