KGC has been buzzing with excitement as two junior golfers have achieved remarkable milestones, earning the opportunity to compete on the international stage.

Illston-on-the-Hill WI held their AGM in November. The meeting was conducted efficiently and all business was dealt with in a timely manner.

The building of the new library extension is carrying on apace and it is really beginning to take shape now. Once again, we would like to apologise to our users for the inconvenience that the building work has caused. We are sure that you will consider it to be well worth it.

Fleckney and Kibworth running club have made the most of races and events far and wide recently. 

As we write this article the band are busy rehearsing for the Leicestershire Brass Band Association contest on Sunday 24 November. Before that, of course, the Band will be leading the Kibworth village parade and the Service of Remembrance,

Rotarian Robert Easthope gave a sigh of relief as the firework display ended on Friday 1 November. After last year’s cancellation and the difficulties encountered we changed our venue to higher ground. Robert Easthope, and his committee, were determined to run the event again. Fortunately it was a fine evening and around 1.500 folk arrived, sampling the hot food and drinks provided, before the display.
