October meeting was a real treat with a visit from Jill and John Vickers from ‘Bridge 67’. Jill gave us a short history of how it all started during Covid. The shop opened in November 2020 and is a very popular venue in Kibworth.

As the season draws to a close, the course is once again looking spectacular in its vibrant autumnal colours. The Captain’s Presentation Evenings have been a wonderful success, and the Vice Captains for next year have been announced.

We warmly invite you to our annual Christmas concert, Christmas Sparkle. An enchanting evening of Christmas music, both old and new, which we have no doubt will fill your heart with festive cheer.

1st Kibworth Scouts are inviting everyone to their new grounds on the edge of Warwick Park and adjacent to the new School Road bridge to participate in a special Tree Planting Day. The event is to take place from 10am onwards on Saturday 16 December, weather permitting. Please bring your own gardening tools to help.

Harborough Songbirds Ladies Choir will be performing their Christmas Concert 2024 in the Methodist Church Hall, Northampton Road, Market Harborough on Friday 13 December at 7.30pm. Tickets  (adults £6 each, children free with accompanying adult) are available from committee members, at Louisa’s Place in Market Harborough or via email songbirdsinfo@icloud.com

Foxton Community Choir is thrilled to announce a busy and exciting Autumn-Winter term. We have two special events that you won’t want to miss!

Illston on the Hill WI invited John to speak and demonstrate the hula hooping. This is a talent he famously showcased on ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’!  Hula hooping has an intriguing history. It dates back to the 14^th century when people would use woven branches to create hoops for play and exercise. Today, we’ve come a long way enjoying modern hoops made from lightweight plastic or bamboo that cater to various skill levels and styles.

The Kibworth Art Lovers Society began its 2024/25 season with an entertaining evening led by Lubenham artist, Michael Edwards.
