On Friday 3 June the weather was beautifully sunny and warm for a Day of Celebration for our Queens Platinum Jubilee.

Afternoon Teas were served at the club for two weeks prior to the Platinum weekend. Out came the fine china and many of our members (and indeed lots of visitors) came and enjoyed it.

There is a church in Clay Coton, a hamlet between the villages of Stanford-on-Avon and Yelvertoft, lying on the boundary between Northamptonshire and Leicestershire. When, some years ago, I inquisitively visited its grounds, it was clear that it was a long time since it had been used as a place for Christian gathering.

The Burton Overy Crafters started meeting in the Village Hall in September 2021. The idea was for like minded people to get together to enjoy crafts and friendship.

The annual quiz night was held at the home of John and Anne Emery in Kilby on Friday night, 10 June. Twenty people took part and we were very pleased to welcome newcomers to the village.
