As the festive season approaches, the Kibworth crew is once again embracing the Christmas spirit and is thrilled to announce that Santa and Rudolph will join them for a special tour of the village on Monday 23 December,continuing our jolly annual tradition. The festive parade to raise much needed funds for local charities will start from Kibworth Fire Station at 1800hrs, and we warmly invite you and your family to join in the fun. Whether you walk alongside the crew or cheer from the sidelines, your participation is greatlyencouraged! With a busy few weeks ahead, Rudolph and Santa may need a few mince pies and carrots to keep their energy levels up for the journey. Kilby Get To Know Your Neighbours

On Friday 15 November Kilby Get To Know Your Neighbours held their annual skittles night at The Conservative Club in Wigston. Thirty people enjoyed a very lively evening. Thanks go to Kathy Kilsby for organising the event and everyone who helped on the night. A raffle raised £82 which was given to Kilby Woodland Trust. The winner of the men’s team was Peter Parsons and Kathy Kilsby had the highest score on the lady’s team. We would like to thank the staff at The Conservative Club for their help and for providing a lovely supper.

Burton Overy Christmas Tree Festival 2024

‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’ in Burton Overy the weekend of 29 November to 1 December. Every year, (bar Covid), since the year 2000, the villagers of Burton Overy, (and we welcome others), have filled their church with beautifully decorated and lit Christmas Trees. Over the years there have been countless tree titles and ingenious ideas around the festival’s theme.

It has been noted that our excellent pharmacy had a new permanent sign installed on Monday 21 October. Romin and his wife Sahnieya Tayub have really turned around this business since they took over Lloyds Chemist. The car park spaces have also been clearly marked. Well done.
